Steps in the Park...

Where in Italy Parchi e Riserve Astigiani
The Park Authority manages three different areas (Rocchetta Tanaro, Valleandona-Vallebotto, Val Sarmassa) characterized by the typical hills of the landscape in the surroundings of Asti. The forests are populated by several animal species, among which the fox, the squirrel, the weasel, and the badger. The latter is particularly widespread, and for this reason it has become the symbol of the Park. The avifauna is represented by 40 nest building species like the green woodpecker and lesser spotted woodpecker, the goldcrest, the firecrest, the wood warbler, the tawny owl, and the jay.
