Where in Italy Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta
Adamello-Brenta Park is situated in west Trentino and includes Adamello and Brenta mountain groups, separated by Val Rendena and set between Val di Non, Val di Sole, and Giudicarie. It includes 39 Municipalities. The environment is very difersified, since it goes from 400 meters to the 3,500 meters of Cima Presanella: for this reason, woods, pastures, grasslands, rocky areas and glaciers alternate. Very rich in water, the Park has over 50 lakes and the Adamello glacier which is one of the largest glaciers in Europe. It is characterized by the richest wildlife of the alpine chain, since it houses all the mountain species, including brown bear and alpine ibex.
