It has become the easiest way to reach, by following the road or the trail, Dal Piaz Mountain Hut, the departure point for all the hikes heading for Vette mountain group. The trail crosses Col dei Cavai plateau (about 1,500m) with a wonderful high-altitude mule track. Busa delle Vette, Pavione, Cima Dodici, Busa di Pietena, Busa di Cavaren, and Val Caneva are therefore easily accessible. The whole area is spectacular and very interesting as far as flora, vegetation, and geology are concerned. Expert hikers who love wild landscapes and solitary itineraries should not miss the route leading from the village of Aune to Busa di Monsanpian. The trail is sometimes difficult because it is very steep, however it is extremely interesting from a naturalistic point of view.
