Zelten

Christmas sweet made with dry fruits
In Alto Adige and Trentino, Zelten is prepared at Christmas: it is a very rich bread usually flavored with pears, dry figs, walnuts, almonds, and pine nuts. Round or oval, with a more or less big size, it can be decorated with walnuts and pine nuts. The crust and texture are dark brown for the presence of rye flour.
