On 13th July in the Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi e Calanchi dell'Abbadessa (Emilia-Romagna, very near Bologna) Speleological Visit The Ente Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi organizes on Sunday 13th July a speleological visit leaving at 9.30 a.m. from the location Palazza (Via Benassi - Ponticella di S. Lazzaro - BO). The visit is suitable for everyone, as long as they are in good health; it is not advisable for less than 8-year-old children. It is advisable to wear rubber boots or trekking shoes, clothes which is possible to dirty and which are suited to a 12°C temperature (sweatshirt, k-way, long trousers) and to bring another pair of shoes and clothes to get changed. The participation fee is 12 Euros for more than 18-year-old people and 6 Euros for less than 18-year-old people, to pay in advance on the post office account CCP 26849406 to: Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi - Via Jussi, 171 - 40030 Farneto di San Lazzaro (BO). On 11th July in the Parco Naturale Regionale di Montemarcello-Magra (Liguria, very near Genova) Among Cliffs and Beaches in the Promontory of Caprione The Ente Parco di Montemarcello-Magra organizes on Friday 11th July a guided visit by boat to discover the river Magra and the coast of Caprione. The departure will take place from the dock of Fiumaretta (SP) at 7.00 p.m. The price of the ticket is Euros 8; for less than 5-year-old children the visit is free, while for children from 5 to 10 year old, the cost of the ticket is 4,00 Euros. On 12th and 13th July in the Parco Adamello Brenta (Trentino Alto Adige, very near Trento) Trekking for Adults and Treasure Hunt for Children Within the summer event Val Genova 2003, the Ente Parco Adamello Brenta organizes a series of initiatives, among which thematic excursions, more-than-one-day trekking, activities for adults and children. For Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July the Park suggests the two-day trekking to the mountain hut Città di Trento and to the mountain hut Caduti dellAdamello, led by an alpine guide and an expert glaciologist: it is an Alpine itinerary of great interest which leads us in the heart of the glaciers of Adamello; as a matter of fact, you get to the mountain hut Lobbie after the wonderful traverse of the Vedretta del Mandron. The mountain hut, dedicated to the dead of the Great War, is situated in the old structure of the former Caserma Giordana. Other interesting war evidences can be seen at the mountain hut. The cannon of Cresta Croce, the destination of the second day of trekking, is very interesting. The participation fee is of 110 Euros including guides and full board. The excursion will take place with a minimum number of 4 participants. On Sunday 13th July in location Malga Genova at 11.00 a.m. and at 2.30 p.m. there will also be the activity for children Gli uomini della Val Genova tra storia e leggenda, a treasure hunt for more than 6-year-old children. A funny way to know, through games, the men who shaped the history of the valley: from the bear hunter to the explorer. On 12th July in the Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio (Campania, very near Napoli) Celtic Night The event "Vesuvio 'e Notte", organized for the summer 2003 by the cooperative "Tu.Te.L.A.", acronym of TUrismo TErra Lavoro Ambiente, with the support of the Ente Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio, goes on. Among the different themes dealt with during the guided visits, there are the promotion of the typical Vesuvian products and the observation of the stars with ethnic-musical performances as a background, reminding of the most ancient Vesuvian traditions linked to the usage and custom of the people living on the most famous volcano of the world and in its surroundings. Notte Celtica will take place on Saturday 12th July in a full moon night with tasting of enological and gastronomical products and a musical performance which will mix the Vesuvian musical traditions with the magic of the Celtic-Mediterranean music. On 12th and 13th July in the Parco del Ticino (Lombardia, very near Milano) A Park for Children This summer the beaches of the Park will house a series of animation activities that the Parco del Ticino, together with Naturcoop, wants to dedicate to children from three to thirteen years old. Every weekend, from 28th June to 21st September (including 15th August) two artistic labs will be active from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.: one dealing with theatrical animation with puppets, and the other about the creation of objects with recycled material. Al the end of the labs, the best works will be given a prize by the Parco del Ticino. Moreover, during every weekend, the Moving Information Center of the Parco del Ticino will be present: brochures about the Parks territory and activities will be at your disposal, and you will have the possibility to buy books, maps, and gadgets. On 12th and 13th July in the Parco Naturale Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino (Trentino Alto Adige, very near Trento) The Sounds of the Dolomites During the summer 2003 the Pale di San Martino will be the suggestive stage of three concerts, completed by guided excursions to reach the places of the performances. On Saturday 12th July at 8.00 p.m. and Sunday 13th July at 5.34 a.m., the meadows of Villa Welsperg, the Casa del Parco in Val Canali, will house Anabasi, a special project dedicated to the music by Arvo Pärt to say good-bye to the sun at the sunset and to greet a new dawn in the Dolomites. Pärt, who will be present to the double concert, is a successful Estonian composer, the author of a mystic and spiritual music characterized by pauses, silences, and a style adopted by the medieval music and defined by the author tintinnabulum. Val Canali therefore houses two concerts for chorus and string instruments (with the Latvian Chamber Choir and the orchestra of the Academy I Filarmonici directed by Tõnu Kaljuste), one at the sunset and one at dawn of the following day for a greatly suggestive event. The participation to the concerts is free. In case of bad weather, the concerts will be held indoors and in the evening. From 13th to 20th July in the Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso (Piemonte and Valle dAosta, near Torino and very near Aosta) Complete Ring-route of Gran Paradiso The Parnassius Apollo Club Trekking, in collaboration with the Ente Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, organizes a series of trekking around the Massif of Gran Paradiso, easy and demanding ones, requiring a good training. From Sunday 13th to Sunday 20th July the Park suggests the complete ring-route of Gran Paradiso, with departure and return to Pont Canavese and climbing to the summit of Gran Paradiso, the only 4.000 meter high mountain in Italy. On 13th July in the Parco Naturale Regionale del Beigua (Liguria, very near Genova) The Lakes of the Tina The Ente Parco del Beigua suggests for Sunday 13th July the easy ring-route I Laghi della Tina: this itinerary develops above Val Lerone, through pinewoods, ilex groves, and some streams; along the route you will enjoy wonderful views over Val Lerone and Ponte Negrone, meeting point of other picturesque itineraries. After meeting the stream at the Passo du Figu, you follow it for some meters; you will find here charming small lakes dug in the ophiolitic rock and linked one to the other by waterfalls, until you reach the largest and deepest one: the Lake of the Tina. You will also admire along the way beautiful blooming of protected species, such as lilies and the Garland flower. At the end of the excursion at the Farm Holiday Argentea it will be possible to eat a tasty snack (optional, on payment). On 11th, 12th, 13th July in the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini (Marche and Umbria, near Ancona and Perugia) Itineraries for Everyone! The Ente Parco dei Monti Sibillini suggests for the weekend a rich programme of activities and excursions, of which we remind only a few. On Friday 11th July the naturalistic-geological itinerary for adults "Il Canyon Hiking" (soft canyoning) during which you will go through the ring-route of the Gole del Cognunto. The excursion will last 8 hours, and the meeting place will be the Casa del Parco in Preci (PG), where you will find the guide Carlo Gatti. The cost includes 5 Euros for the rent of materials and 8 Euros for the excursion. On Saturday 12th July there will be the walk for children "Tiratuchespingoanchio": "poor" games of the past to carry out in the open air for children looking for something new and for genuine emotions.
