Le aree protette in Pakistan
Secondo il Database Mondiale sulle Aree Protette, in Pakistan ci sono 16 Parchi Nazionali, 94 Oasi Faunistiche, 7 Riserve Private, 99 Riserve di Caccia e altre 9 Aree Protette.
L'Agenzia per la Protezione dell'Ambiente del Pakistan è una sezione del Ministero dell'Ambiente ed è responsabile dell'attuazione della Legge sulla Protezione dell'Ambiente del Pakistan (1997) nel Paese. Questa Legge fornisce le linee guida per la protezione, la conservazione, il recupero e il miglioramento dell'ambiente, per la prevenzione e il controllo dell'inquinamento e per la promozione dello sviluppo sostenibile. L'Agenzia per la Protezione dell'Ambiente del Pakistan fornisce ogni tipo di assistenza tecnica al Ministero dell'Ambiente per la formulazione di politiche e programmi ambientali.
