The Municipality of Bagno di Romagna was awarded with “Bandiera arancione” (Orange Flag) by T.C.I (Touring Club Italiano)
 On Appennino tosco-romagnolo the “Orange Flag” waves, latest pride for the Municipality of Bagno di Romagna.
Italian Touring Club has always been engaged in the development of a quality tourism and in highlighting Italian cultural and environmental resources and heritage: the Orange Flag (Bandiera Arancione) is a way to guarantee quality to tourists and to grant a powerful instrument to local authorities.
This prestigious award, lasting two years, is the only Italian project that is recognized at an international level and, at the moment, it has been granted to 80 Italian Municipalities.
The Orange Flag is an important tourist and environmental quality mark for little inland villages, a meaningful acknowledgement which states the qualities and strong points of Bagno di Romagna at a national level. Bagno di Romagna now belongs to the best Italian Municipalities, in terms of cultural heritage development, environmental protection, hospitality tradition, direct access to resources, highest quality in accommodation facilities, restaurants and typical products.
 On 21st July at 6.00 p.m. in piazza Malatestiana, in Longiano (FC) there will be the prize-giving ceremony for the new Municipalities of Emilia-Romagna which were awarded with this prestigious Prize. Italian Touring Club will give the mark to the mayors of Bagno di Romagna, Castrocaro Terme - Terra del Sole, Longiano, Portico - San Benedetto, Premilcuore, Monteleone (location in Roncofreddo) within the Province of Forlì-Cesena; Montefiore Conca and Verucchio within the Province of Rimini; Bobbio, Castell’Arquato and Vigoleno (location in Vernasca) within the Province of Piacenza; Busseto and Fontanellato within the Province of Parma, Castelvetro within the Province of Modena and Brisighella within the Province of Ravenna.
In order to highlight this important achievement, the Municipality of Bagno di Romagna has decided to organize a celebration for the Orange Flag Award by Italian Touring Club to the Municipality.
The celebration is divided in two parts:
- in S. Piero in Bagno, in piazza Martiri, from 4.00 to 7.00 p.m. there will be games for children, entertainment, puppets, snacks and much more with Centro di Iniziative Sociali, Music and Show by Flag-wavers and Drummers from Forlimpopoli;
- in Bagno di Romagna, in piazza Ricasoli, at 9.00 p.m. during the historical re-enactment “I Giorni del Capitano” (The Days of the Captain) the Prize-giving Ceremony of the Orange Flag will take place.
