FESTINVAL - 11th Edition "Tastes and Colors of Val di Savio" San Piero in Bagno 22nd/23rd and 29th/30th September 2007  FestinVal, at its 11th edition, is a traditional appointment if you want to spend four days among the hills of the upper Savio valley.As a matter of fact, this festival - an appealing mixture of performances, exhibits, gastronomy, tasting, craftsmanship, typical products, antique trade… - is a two-day great occasion to discover and appreciate tastes and colors of the upper Savio valley and the hospitality of a town - San Piero in Bagno - rich in history, culture, and traditions. Organized by the Pro Loco (Local Tourist Board) of San Piero in Bagno, FestinVal is an original “showcase” to enhance the territory through its typical products: therefore, particular attention is dedicated to organic and natural cultivation, woodland and undergrowth products, apiculture and dairy products, as well as to craftsmanship, in particular to stone and wood working; at the same time, a big stall dedicated to gastronomy - the heart of the festival - will suggest menus with local dishes and specialties (mushrooms, truffles, wild boar...), and a charming combination sea-mountains with dinners based on fish. Moreover, entertainment for adults and children, animation, cultural events, opportunities, shopping occasions, gastronomic curiosities able to satisfy both mind and senses are granted by itinerant performances, exhibits, concerts, stands and stalls (200 among exhibitors and street vendors) in the charming frame of streets and squares of the historical town center. |
