Points of Interest

The traces left by prehistorical people are very interesting from a historical-cultural point of view, as well as the evidence of the more recent presence of Valdesi population who lived here for some centuries, until the 17th century. In the 19th century, thanks to the discovery of a copper seam in Colle del Beth, the local economic activities and job opportunities flourished. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the 20th century, exactly in 1904, an avalanche buried 81 miners, and subsequently the mines were closed. Just a few traces remain of the wonderful 18th century rural buildings which were abandoned from the 20s onward.
A self-guided trail has been recently opened where the miners worked.
